Independent sellers
We carry out in-depth analysis, using images, descriptions and seller profile checks on items listed by independent sellers.
In addition to our checks, you may contact a seller and ask them for a certificate of authenticity. If this isn't available, our team is able to assess the item before it is sent to you. The cost for this service depends on the item being purchased, but we'll confirm all the fees so you can decide if you want to go ahead.
Items 'Managed by Hewi'
Items sold via our VIP service or marked as 'Managed by Hewi' are inspected by hand by our team of experts.
Sometimes we do need to get a 3rd party to double-check the items for us. There is a charge for this service, but we'll always let you know if we need to do this to make sure you're happy with the cost.
